This project was working to promote the charity Vision Aid Overseas. The telescope was made from a single green branch that has been hollowed out using a similar technique to that used in barrel making. the arrangement of the lenses is the same as Galileo used for his first telescope and has an approximate magnification of 12 times.
THREE LITTLE PIGS CHAIR
This childrens chair was made using the three materials used by the three little pigs to build their houses (straw, sticks and bricks). The sticks are held in place by the concrete which is made up of 1/3 red brick and the straw is then woven around the sticks to create the back of the chair.
MODERN AUTHORITY CHESS SET
This chess set was designed to show the modern day values placed on each of the pieces through the use of material. For example, the King and Queen have little authority in modern life and so are made from MDF and ply, whereas the castle (representing the military) is made from mahogany)
